Macey...and our EXCITING announcement!

So before we make the big announcement...since I've been on such a posting hiatus, I thought I'd give you some beautiful pictures to look through first :) Hope you like them! Once you get to the bottom, you can read the rest!

Sooooo, what do you think? Did you love the pictures? I have to say, I am totally in love with so many of them! But guess what? They were not taken by me....nope! It was painfully hard for me to stand by and watch all of these gorgeous images be captured by our newest photographer here at Halversen Photography. Did we hire an outsider to join our little business? NO. These pictures were taken by none other than my husband, Joshua! I've been training him for months, teaching him about my camera, lighting, exposure, focus, framing, posing, etc. He has been wanting to do this for a while, and I have to say, I'm so excited he is finally ready to do this!

He will be specializing in doing weddings for our business, and will also be doing all the other types of sessions as well, but just this year alone I had to turn down at least 6 weddings because I was already booked up, and who knows how many just looked on my website and saw I was booked and went to someone else. That frustrates me to no end! I hate having to send people to other photographers, or just tell them that I can't do it. So hopefully this way, we will be able to get in a lot more weddings this year.

Josh has been great, and a really fast and eager learner. He is great with the clients and since he has basically been my side kick for the last 4 years of doing business, he knows all of the ins and outs of what I do on my sessions anyway! Because he already has another full time job that supports our little family, the weddings he will be able to accept will mostly have to take place on Saturdays, but he will occasionally accept a weekday wedding as well. And for now, since he is a newbie, we will be offering a pretty good discount to our wedding prices for a few months until he gets a few under his belt. So if you, or someone you know is looking to be getting married in the next little while, shoot us an e-mail! You can contact us through our website www.ambersmodernphoto.com or send an e-mail directly to ambersmodernphoto@gmail.com .

I would also like to let you know that our website has been completely updated, with almost all of the categories full of brand new pictures taken throughout this year! This includes all of the pages, even the information pages, so if you were wanting a Halversen Photography 'fix' this is your chance! Please take a minute and look through the pricing page. Our new pricing is now in effect, and there have been a few minor changes, so please read through that before booking a new session with us. As always we are SO grateful for all of your support, comments, and love throughout the past 4 years, and we can't wait for the new adventures 2012 will bring!

Oh, and since this is Josh's first session I've posted, I know he would LOVE it if you'd give him an outpouring of comments and well wishes ;o) Thanks everyone!

He's always been so awesome at getting little kids to look at the camera and smile, and he has proven that he can capture those smiles with a camera perfectly too! Good job!

Wow! Josh, I'm so thrilled for you. You've got the EYE too! The shots of Macey are GREAT! You've always done every well that you've tried, so I know that you will be highly successful with this new venture. You've had a great teacher, and it appears that you've been the great student. You can take your old parents. Then we'll really see what you're made of. :)
Very impressed! Way to GO! I'm excited for you. Yeah! Love You - Forever Just Me M
